What words of The Freshman by The Verve Pipe say?

I would find the site where I read the interview with Brian Van Der Ark, who wrote the song, but I remember most of it: The song was based on a true story in which a young (the writer) got his girlfriend is pregnant, and she subsequently had an abortion. "When I young I knew everything / was a punk who rarely accepted Council "= two of them thought they knew everything, and avoid trouble." Stop breathing baby a "abortion = (no breath Baby)" and a shoe full of rice "gypsophila = a (flower) and footwear filled with rice are the two symbols of marriage, this line means no marriage. While the second verse speaks of "my friend" and "daughter", the composer said the verses were actually intended to about the same partner. It is, as you say, suicide. (Apparently, abortion is part of a true story, but suicide was not.) In the first half of the chorus ("For the life of me …") return to his youthful attitude to think I knew everything and always make the right decisions ("no commitment"). In the second half of the chorus, which tries to escape their feelings of guilt by suggesting that people should be forgiven ("I can not believe I ever die for these sins") for the nonsense they do in their youth ("who were merely freshmen.") may interpret this more than one title. Some people see it as a positive example to forgive yourself and move forward. Or perhaps part of the very negation of the responsibility he expressed in the bridge ("I can not be held responsible.")
