I have a diamond engagement ring stone, and one of the stones seems to have a crack in it?
It is a diamond side. No it seems that the dark line down the center, halfway. There is also a small black spot on the side closest to the configuration. I thought that perhaps he was thinking, but it would not be on the other side too? What can we do? From everyone responds chosen, will do. Thank you for help
Nothing can be done. Not a crack is a feather …. means exactly the clarity of the diamond is not Very Good. It is a natural defect, and you will find all diamonds, except Flawless. The lowest point is carbon black, everything you see on the diamond is normal. Insurance does nothing … is that the features of diamonds. If you buy something with the clarity of VS1 or better, you will not see no defects with the naked eye. So I suppose that your diamond is SI1 clarity, or less … if it has carbon and feathers as you because it is very probably an I1 or I2.
