How many calories are in 1 cup of regular ground beed ?
Hi , i was just wondering how many calories are in regular ground beef per pound …The fat and protein precentage would also be great …But does anyone know the amount of calories are in 1 cup ?
Ground beef is categorized by % fat, and a few different percentages are routinely stocked in the market. You need to know what type of ground beef it is (e.g. 80% lean, 90% lean). “Regular” isn’t specific enough.
Here’s a good link to get you started on figuring out what the calorie and fat content is of the beef you want to eat. http://www.calorie-count.com/calories/item/23502.html . For example, if it’s 80% lean ground beef, 3 oz cooked is 231 calories, with 23% calories from fat and 23 g protein.
You will probably not find estimates based on cup measurements, because how much beef fits into a cup varies too much depending on how much the beef is broken up during cooking.
